ON THE ROAD AGAIN

As Wille so aptly said it....

ROAD TRIP- a journey via automobile

I guess driving the 22,500 miles to the Arctic Ocean last summer wasn't enough. So after overpacking the SUV again we are off and running to celebrate the open road. This year we are headed to the Eastern half of the good ol'USA on up to St. Edwards Island and Newfoundland. More family, friends, Fishers, faith and forests. Will we qualify as Professional Road Trippers? Is this the Baby Boomer version of hitchhiking? Does Dashboarding count as exercise? So glad I can pack the "extras" and not pay "extra" and so love not having to stand in line to take off my shoes to change states. Besides it's an excellent way to shed some skin and live out loud. Check out the schedule and see if you're on the trip tick. Our most valuable souvenir are the hugs and stories we can't wait to share. Look over at the archived blogs on the right side as it stores the "older" blog entries there....don't want you to miss the trip from day one!

CONFIRMED ROADIES

After last summers "once in a life time road trip" we were hooked-if bored one evening see pamelacollins.blogspot.com (North to Alaska) for sordid details. There are plenty of reasons to hit the road and celebrate America's (and Canada too!) cultural heritage and natural wonders. Although we haven't experienced the meandering version-our trip is kinda planned and suits our purpose. Our focus are the FIVE F'S (family, friends, fishers, faith, forests). With the blessing of health and time we are free to visit and experience our F's. We have also learned the way to a healthy life style on a long road trip....goal for this trip is to eat green and healthy- no more Bubba's Jerky and Corn Dogs. Bubba is even bringing his Vita Mixer. Nothing like a Slimey I mean green smoothie to start the day off. Pleep only indulges in the banana smoothies...no green for the Pleepmeister. And yes there has been a new addition to the Collins Road Family- Pleep now has a sister- Pleetisha (aka Sis). After he laid down the rules of the road to Sis and made it clear who is in charge of this rig she smiled sweetly and said "you bet Bro!" So come along for the ride- Happy Trails!

DAY 15 NYC SHOPPING SHOPPING AND SECRET SERVICE GALA


BOCA GOES DESIGNER SHOW ROOM HOPPING.......
More Behind the scenes arranged by the SS.  The ladies have some fun and stimulate our economy by shopping in the designer showrooms ......lots of size 2's and 6's here.  Didn't somebody let them know Boca was coming????

Pleep made me try on a lot of things that were far too small and glitzy.  I finally caught on to the game.  Sis had bribed Pleep in an attempt to fill out her wardrobe.  She was under the mistaken idea that the Secret Service gala was in her honor.  Of course they were in kahootz.........Pleep planned to go Monkey Crazy at the Auction being held later that evening?  What Auction??


SECRET SERVICE GALA COLLAGE....Bill Clinton was the featured speaker.  Of course Boca went up and chatted it up....Bill, good job on Chelsea's wedding- way to spend $3mill in a recession.  Unlike you, THE OTHER BUBBA, thinks we should tighten our belt during these times.   I'm with you Billie Boy-spend spend spend before our current Prez takes it all away. You go Billie!  And btw-who has a copy of that photo?  Boca was trying to be oh so chic and not have her picture taken with the Prez- ha.  Hell, she didn't want it as she just may out way that skinny man.  As we parted I remarked "Bubba, either get some new suits that fit or start eating those donuts again".  And as he remarked "Boca, some things never change.  It's always a pleasure (cough cough) to be in your presences".  Kiss Kiss Hug Hug.






Lots of fun was had by all...and yes that crazy MONKEY did go crazy at the Auction- of course Bubba blamed me.  His little Pleepster never does wrong....and may I quote Bubba " WHAT IN THE  blank blank are we going do with all of this stuff???!!  AND WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO PUT ALL OF THESE BOXES?!!!"


FROM HOMELESS TO MULTI-MILLIONAIRE
John Paul DeJoria has been inducted into the prestigious Horatio Alger Associations of Distinguished Americans to name one of the many awards this true super star has won.  Favorite.  My new "pal" JP also spoke at the gala- what a guy!  You recognize him from those TV commercials-John Paul Mitchell Hair Products.  I met him at the cocktail hour and was so excited to learn he lives in Austin Texas.  Oh hell yes we would be thrilled to visit your Ranch....Bubba has been looking a Ranchette.  So if you need any tractoring done JP- Bubba is your man.  JP is quite the patriot and friend of the Secret Service.  Check out his web site for all this man has done to help the world.  Brings new meaning to World Class Citizen and Charitable Giving.  See you in Austin JP!  And we thank YOU for your service to your country you ol'Navy Boy.  Super sized hug coming your way!
