The aftermath...coffee please and brunch at the Stage with a friend from Boca- June's daughter Whitney Wolfe....where else can you spend $20 on a sandwich and get insulted throughout the whole meal for free!
New York New York....a constant street fair in the summer....Bubba on the hunt for socks. As I pointed out the Fisher House Managers are tired of seeing his hairy leg hanging over those short socks...he did manage to find a pair of Nicks...nothing like the heel sticking out on back of the calf.... Throw care to the wind Bubba 4 pair for $10 bucks- nothing but the best for my man.
And on to the best part of the day a visit to the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier/Museum... the museum opened in 1982 after ZACHARY FISHER and his buddy Michael Stern succeeded in saving the Intrepid from the scrap heap in 1978. The Museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and service as related to its home aboard the USS INTREPID-a national landmark. It closed in 2006 for extensive renovations and reopened in 2008. We enjoyed the Hangar Deck, the Gallery Deck, the Flight Deck and Third Deck. Don't forget to also see the submarine, the Concorde and the Lockheed reconnaissance plane. Bubba was in his glory in spite of the heat of the day-95 degrees! Once again we salute the generosity and patriotism of a true American Hero- ZACHARY FISHER!
Bubba had flown on the Concord back in the 80"s....a tight fit for a big boy. So if you haven't visited the oh so newly updated and USS INTREPID MUSEUM do yourself a favor and check it out!
